Rebecca, This ones for you!

Light affliction

Yesterday I gave the Women's Bible study on Christlikeness. God uses the circumstances in our lives, especially suffering to transform us into the image of Christ. I love this scripture, it speaks so much as to how our lives are just a vapor on this earth, we have a living hope to look forward to in heaven one day.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2Cor 5:16-18

This scripture helps me to put my own suffering in perspective. It is called a light affliction that in the scope of eternity, just lasts for a moment. Our perspective is to be eternal.

Energy!

It's amazing how much my energy has increased in just one week! I was able to do 4 loads of laundry today, as well as run a few quick errands, fix dinner and clean up. It may not sound like a lot to many but a day like this would have tuckered me out big time just a few weeks ago! Thank God...I'm coming back! enjoy the old picture...I am just testing the picture thing out. (30 more pounds and I might look like that again...except with a few wrinkles!)

Regular sizing

Oh the Joy! I went to Ross yesterday and was actually able to fit into the XL's! Amazing how the choices just expanded. Never realized though how many old lady clothes there are in the Misses section! Pant's that's more difficult to find in the XL/size 18 variety, but that's ok...just went back to the plus size section for that. Bought my first pair of Lower rise jeans, very interesting, will have to get used to those...

Can't Sleep

Where have all the good dreams gone to? Greg's snoring and a 6pm nap will kill sleep in an instant! Gives me a good excuse to start my blog. All is going pretty good now...energy is returning, most of my pain is gone. I may be a survivor but I am a big wimp when it comes to pain. Went to a wedding today. Congrats to Wayne and Nancy. They have been attending the Young Couples Fellowship faithfully (and quietly!) Now they will have stuff to share! Nancy looked lovely!
