Summer Busies

Swimming, Summer School, Tennis, Golf, VBS, Work...I thought summer was the time to slow down? After a busy 4th of July the treadmill continues! Good news is the kids seem to be able to get along together better than before~ Including a more recent photo...down 88 lbs now and still plugging away at the weight...body shot to follow soon.

Catch Up

BAD Adrienne, BAD Adrienne! Ok now that I am done scolding myself for not posting in so long, I will let it go. All is doing well with us/me...Tomorrow is President's day...Did you know that Washington was 6ft 3inches (a giant for his day), and had extremely large hands...hmmm. Read those facts and other interesting tidbits to Megan last night. We will celebrate by cleaning house and visiting the tide pools. I have included a few photos of my niece Amber's wedding. We had a wonderful time. The kids were in the wedding and did fabulous...made me proud!

Birthday Girl

Ok so shame on me not posting for a month! Feeling really good lately! Just this Saturday night Rebecca and I broke out our party hats to celebrate our decades!~ Her 50th, My 40th! Love that I am younger! Anyhow we had a great Luau celebration! Greg and Rich were in literal hog heaven as they BBQ'ed a little piggy! I have even included pics for your enjoyment! BTW I have now lost 62 pounds!

Rebecca, This ones for you!

Light affliction

Yesterday I gave the Women's Bible study on Christlikeness. God uses the circumstances in our lives, especially suffering to transform us into the image of Christ. I love this scripture, it speaks so much as to how our lives are just a vapor on this earth, we have a living hope to look forward to in heaven one day.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2Cor 5:16-18

This scripture helps me to put my own suffering in perspective. It is called a light affliction that in the scope of eternity, just lasts for a moment. Our perspective is to be eternal.

Energy!

It's amazing how much my energy has increased in just one week! I was able to do 4 loads of laundry today, as well as run a few quick errands, fix dinner and clean up. It may not sound like a lot to many but a day like this would have tuckered me out big time just a few weeks ago! Thank God...I'm coming back! enjoy the old picture...I am just testing the picture thing out. (30 more pounds and I might look like that again...except with a few wrinkles!)

Regular sizing

Oh the Joy! I went to Ross yesterday and was actually able to fit into the XL's! Amazing how the choices just expanded. Never realized though how many old lady clothes there are in the Misses section! Pant's that's more difficult to find in the XL/size 18 variety, but that's ok...just went back to the plus size section for that. Bought my first pair of Lower rise jeans, very interesting, will have to get used to those...
